Privacy Notice
This notice describes how AcademicOS (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data submitted through academicos.co.in. We operate in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act, India) and applicable institutional data norms.
What we collect
- Diagnostic gate: name, institutional email, institution name, role/designation, optional phone number, and an optional checkbox indicating consent to receive the Chronicle newsletter.
- Engagement form: name, role, institution, institutional email, optional phone, and the free-text description of the institutional challenge you submit.
- Chronicle newsletter: email address and consent flag.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and prepare for the first conversation.
- To unlock and improve the diagnostic tools.
- If you have explicitly consented, to send the Chronicle newsletter on a weekly cadence.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not run cross-site advertising trackers. We do not use Google Analytics. Site analytics, if enabled, are cookie-less and aggregated.
Your rights under the DPDP Act
You have the right to access, correct, update, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for newsletter communications at any time. Write to privacy@academicos.co.in and we will respond within 14 days.
Retention
Engagement inquiries are retained for the duration of the working relationship and for up to seven years thereafter, in line with professional record-keeping norms. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
